Neville opens doors to Valencia fans
Watford boss Quique Sanchez Flores has warned Gary Neville he faces a baptism of fire after taking charge of his former club Valencia.

Having played together through the ranks at Old Trafford and with England, Neville is looking forward to again building a professional relationship within his family. This is a wonderful club.
“I have to adapt also as a manager to the culture of England and these dimensions are not always fitting in your way of thinking but you have to do it”.
“There are a lot of young players in the squad, who need time to mature, and need faith and belief for them to grow and develop”.
“(I’ve been) managing businesses with hundreds of people in them, dealing with issues every single day, not on the football pitch, but off the football pitch.
Gary Neville: “I’m valuable [about] what I relate myself with”.
But all of their jobs so far have been in Britain, and Ferguson believes it is crucial that Neville learns Spanish and embraces his surroundings if he is to succeed.
Ranieri, now manager of Barclays Premier League high-fliers Leicester, had two stints in charge of Valencia from 1997 to 1999 and 2004 to 2005.
But he accepted that he would have win over doubters – he admitted that Neville the pundit would have been among them – who questioned why the team that finished fourth in Spain had hired an untried Englishman.
“I’ve not shied away from questioning such things in the past and I know I have to prove to the Valencia fans that any doubts and reservations that they might have will disappear when we win games”, he added in a report by Independent. If I turned down this opportunity, I would have lost some credibility. “I would be skeptical and want to be proven otherwise”.
Gary Neville starts his managerial career tomorrow in Valencia, his first game is of course against Barcelona a team that has won seven in a row scoring a twenty eight and conceding just two goals in that period.
“From my point of view, I wanted to continue to complete my job through to Euro 2016 and everyone is completely understanding that Valencia will be my priority 95 percent of the time”.
New Valencia coach Gary Neville will get a good idea of the task ahead of him as he watches his new side entertain leaders FC Barcelona in the La Liga on Saturday night. My input, in that sense, is minimal.
The former Manchester United captain knows he has now put his neck on the line but felt it was the right time to do so.

Moreover, club president Florentino Perez is expected to receive more calls for his resignation after the administrative failings that have left Madrid’s Copa del Rey hopes in tatters. “We don’t do niceties and we talk about actions and what we’re going to do”.
