Legal experts agree: Trump’s proposal

There’s nothing, I don’t believe, barring him from saying dumb shit and still getting nominated and elected. “I’m doing what’s right”.

Social media maverick and presidential hopeful Donald Trump gave a cringe-worthy speech last night in which he called for a ban on all Muslims entering the country.

“The sense of racism across America is not only addressed at Muslim-Americans but its addressed at all ethnic communities within the States”, said Sam Bahour.

“This is not conservatism”, House Speaker Paul Ryan told reporters after a closed-door GOP caucus meeting in response to Trump’s comments. “It strengthens ISIS and insults the patriotism of millions of Americans – many of whom have given their lives in the defense of our country”, said Rep. Nancy Pelosi, the Democratic Minority leader in the House of Representatives.

Brushing aside global outrage, the real estate baron has been defending his proposal on Monday at a SC rally for a “total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States”. “His Islamophobia doesn’t reflect our nation’s values-it goes far enough to damage our country’s reputation and could even threaten our national security”.

Prime Minister David Cameron, another Conservative, also criticized Trump’s statements about Muslims – breaking the custom of British leaders not commenting on USA presidential contenders. “It’s time for our party to wake up and realize that if we nominate Trump, Hillary Clinton will definitely be the next president”, said Kasich. Experts on immigration law and policy expressed shock at the proposal yesterday afternoon.

Repudiation of Trump’s remarks was swift and severe among religious groups and politicians from both parties.

“This is a president who is highly respected by all”, Trump said of Franklin D. Roosevelt. The Imam at the Islamic Society of Central New Jersey says Trump’s idea is not practical – and way off base.

While he said the comments made by Trump may draw negative attention to his mosque, he said he invited anyone unsure of his religion to stop by and ask questions.

“If I had the power”, Nutter said, “the only banning that would be done is that I would ban him from Philadelphia”.
