Harrison Ford promises older, wiser Solo in ‘Force Awakens’

That puts a stopper on recent rumours that The Force Awakens ending would tease 2016’s Star Wars Rogue One movie. Newcomers Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Finn (John Boyega) lead a younger generation that grapples with the conflicts that haunted the past. While director J.J. Abrams opted to keep the Falcon’s design largely intact from its predecessor, the ship now has a rectangular radar dish, as opposed to the circular dish from the original trilogy.

While Disney and Lucasfilm are living up to J.J. Abrams’ promise that they won’t spoil the movie in the various TV spots and trailers, they’re still giving it a huge marketing push, and that includes a series of character posters. The Rey video reveals that her speeder was designed nearly identical to Luke Skywalker’s vehicle in Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope, except it’s turned on its side. Fortunately for those that don’t have the time to sit through the “Star Wars: the Force Awakens” credits, there’s nothing waiting for them after the scroll is complete.

LOS ANGELES – Jar Jar Binks (photo), a goofy amphibious character who irritated many Star Wars fans in the 1999 film Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, will not appear in the new movie The Force Awakens, producer Kathleen Kennedy said on Sunday.

However, there has never been a time when more “Star Wars” was on the docket for theater audiences.

“I could work with my body in new ways”, she told reporters. “He’s more risky and unpredictable, and morally justified in doing what he thinks is right”, said Adam Driver.

“I would like them to sit down, relax in their seat and just let the story begin”, said Harrison Ford, who returns as Han Solo.
