Star Wars-“The Force Awakens”-Harrison Ford Interview”

The Force Awakens hitting theaters worldwide in less than two week, the hype machine is in full swing, and this weekend has brought us new clips, promos and featurettes. The movie opens in US theaters on December 18, 2015. When I was watching the reels in 3-D, there were a number of shots – and I know this sounds insane – that I hadn’t understood in the three-dimensional space quite the way I did when I saw them in 3-D. He was so great at the beginning because I was so nervous. He wasn’t surprised by Disney’s Death Star-sized plan to revive the franchise after acquiring Lucasfilm in 2012 for more than $4 billion.

I was further underwhelmed by the news that followed, that “Little Miss Sunshine” writer Michael Arndt was working on the screenplay.

But to make a long story short, the galactic pieces started falling into place.

Indeed Abrams took point by answering questions about his relationship with Disney as a director.

So, there you have it. Lucas thinks the fans will like The Force Awakens, though it seems clear that Abrams’ spin on the franchise is not what Lucas envisioned when he dreamed his geeky dreams of Episode VII.

This was really important, that the movie, in a way, go backwards to go forwards. Kathleen Kennedy is quick to reveal that there are no Ewoks in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and we only have Harrison Ford to thank for that, as it appears it was one of his few stipulations for returning.
