Mark Hamill dropped 50lbs for Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Even though George Lucas sold the rights to Star Wars in 2012 for $4.05 billon, he still gets more than a few perks for being its creator, one of which is watching The Force Awakens before it premieres next Thursday.

On Tuesday, the popular cinema franchise announced that it will hold a marathon contest aptly named The Marathon Awakens to see who is the ultimate Star Wars fan.

In a revealing talk with Screen Daily, the Apocalypse Now director talked about the future of filmmaking and how the next leaps and bounds cant be made without experimentation, taking chances, and daring to fail.

“I think it’s going to be the hugest thing”, said Lucy Lui, while Shaquille O’Neal said he thought it was “an excellent movie”.

According to the respected trade magazine Variety, box office experts are predicting that Abrams’ sequel could land among the top three films of all time, potentially grossing more than Jurassic World’s $US1.6 billion worldwide. They voiced out their own opinions, and Boyega was grateful of enjoying a fame that Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, and Mark Hamill took part in many years ago when “Star Wars Episode IV” came out.

When the teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens arrived last November, fans got their first look at the heroes and villains that now populate this beloved galaxy far, far away. We also learn new details about Harrison Ford’s on-set injury, with the actor reportedly calling a pilot friend of his with a helicopter to fly him the 20 miles from the Pinewood set to a London hospital.

“He said: We’ll let you know when we have a script”.
