Whoever decided the president should speak from the Oval Office made a mistake. He wants to appease the enemy, instead of making them know precisely the sovereignty of our nation. Several Republican presidential candidates and many governors are doing just that by portraying Muslims as inherently unsafe and endorsing draconian policies. We are at war with the violent Islam.

In an appeal that is unlikely to move a strongly pro-gun US Congress, Mr Obama called for tighter gun laws to “make it harder” for terrorists to kill by being able to buy assault rifles. “To safeguard our own national security, we must step up the military fight against ISIS as soon as possible, but it will require sustained, long-term American engagement to resolve the deeper problems that have allowed ISIS to incubate and gather strength in Syria and Iraq”.

The world will now be watching and waiting to see if the “smarter” approach of Obama continues to trump those of his more hawkish critics. A Facebook official said the post came about the time the couple stormed the San Bernardino social services center.
