When asked by Walters if he is bigoted, Trump was emphatic in his response.

Donald Trump is defending his plan to bar all Muslim immigrants and visitors from entering the United States.

House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wisconsin), Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Kentucky), 2012 Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney, the chairs of the New Hampshire and South Carolina Republican parties, a number of GOP operatives, and most of the Republican presidential field have dismissed Trump’s provocative plan.

Lamia Arafa who also attends the mosque said, “Trumps statements aren’t only bigoted, they’re completely anti-American”. Trump’s campaign had participated in a walk-through earlier this week, Andrews said.

“There are many, even in your own party, who think that ISIS is going to like your rhetoric, that your words are putting us in greater danger”, Walters said.

During the White House news briefing, Earnest said that Trump’s proposal to bar the entry of Muslims into the country amounts to an unconstitutional religious test and renders him unfit for the presidency. First, there are no standards of decency, no limits to where he will go to grab attention in his quest to win the Republican Party nomination.

There are radical Islamic extremists among the world’s Muslim population.

Walker joined a number of other GOP voices in criticizing Trump for his announcement that Muslims should be prevented from traveling to the United States.

“It’s really his opinion and he does have a broad reach, it seems, especially in some segments of our community”, Rashid said.

“Very few people can sustain the kind of attacks that I have had and still be at this level, so that tells you there’s a very strong base of support there”, he said.

In months past, Clinton hasn’t hesitated to blast Trump on his controversial comments, often referring to the rest of the Republican field as Trump “without the pizzazz or the hair”.

“Clearly, while there’s no love lost for those who perpetrate violence and the killings of civilians, it’s a double tragedy when the innocent have to suffer because of the reactions”, Zeid said.
