Presidential candidate Donald Trump is under fire after proposing to block all Muslims from entering the U.S. The plan has drawn criticism from across the world.

Saying Trump’s campaign had a “dustbin of history” air about it, Earnest said the latest statements were more examples of “outright lies”, jabbing at Trump’s “fake hair (and) the whole carnival barker that routine that we’ve seen for some time now”.

The Imam says this mentality is a safety concern for Muslims.

Turel believes Trump’s proposal just adds fuel to the fire. Spokeswoman for the United Nations refugee agency Melissa Fleming said in Geneva that Trump’s remark could threaten the programme for resettling Syrian refugees in the US.

David Cameron called Mr Trump’s proposal “divisive and unhelpful”, while senior politicians in France and Canada have spoken out too.

Let’s contrast this with Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump. “A good Muslim, will think, ‘Okay, I am responsible for helping everyone, ‘” Abdalla said.

Barbara Walters sat down with Donald Trump today to discuss the blowback from his call for a ban on Muslims. We don’t need individuals like trump who are trying to encourage or empower individuals to go out and act on their hateful rhetoric and hateful ideas. In television interviews on Tuesday, Trump clarified that it would not apply to American citizens traveling overseas and would allow exemptions for certain people, including the leaders of Middle Eastern countries and athletes for certain sporting events.

“What he said is disqualifying”, Earnest said. “But the fact is, the first thing a president does when he or she takes the oath of office is to swear an oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States”, he said.
