Southwest Airlines announces new flight from Reno to Oakland

“Buffalo ranks as Denver’s largest domestic market without non-stop service and we are very pleased that Southwest will initiate flights next summer”, said Denver International Airport CEO Kim Day.

The Saturday-only flights will take place in June and July of 2016.

One-way fares start at $59.

The nonstop flight service between the two cities was cancelled in 2013.

Louis International Airport will be gaining 3 additional destinations to fly to.

The Reno-Tahoe Airport and Southwest Airlines have announced a new direct flight from Reno to Oakland.

Fred Szabo, interim director of Hopkins, welcomed the news.

“Southwest truly is an airline that deserves to be celebrated”, she said.

Southwest already provides service from Burbank to and from Denver, Las Vegas, Oakland, Phoenix, Sacramento and San Jose, with service to San Francisco set to begin January 6. It’s not valid for travel on Fridays, Sundays or June 30 through July 5.
