HTC expected to launch flagship Android 6.1 smartphone in spring
The company has been releasing a large number of devices, and has managed to come out with a large number of innovations in the markets, especially when it comes to design. The new device is reportedly named the HTC Perfume, which we hope and pray is just an internal codename while in-development, because if that’s the launch name then this thing is already DOA. Now, according to a tweet by Mr. Mo Versi, the Vice President of product management at HTC, the company will start rolling out the December security updates for the AT&T model of the One A9 from Tuesday evening. Because of this, GSM Arena mentioned that HTC seems to be on a roll regarding Android updates, as the One A9 will also be among the first non-Nexus devices to get the very first Android Marshmallow update.

It’s probably safe to assume that the HTC Perfume would be packed with similar specs as the HTC One M10 – maybe even better, if we’re lucky. It is powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor with 1.5GHz quad-core and 1.2GHz quad-core modules. The phone features expandable storage with the help of microSD card (up to 2TB). Aside from the display size, which could realistically be anywhere from 5 to 6-inches, all of that sounds pretty reasonable for any 2016 flagship. There is a 13-megapixel rear camera with sapphire cover lensand 4-megapixel UltraPixel front-facing fixed-focus camera. The phone also supports 4G LTE network connectivity. The device is backed by a 2150mAh battery.

Back in August of this year, a rumor was making the rounds that HTC was working on a new high-end smartphone for the top of its range called the HTC O2. Is it out in your country yet? Let us know your thoughts.
