Less than a minute later, after a bucket by Draymond Green and two by Curry, they were up 79-76.

Warriors’ record through 22 games: 22-0.

Brooklyn would hang around with the Warriors again Sunday night and the game was close for the first three quarters until Golden State’s bench opened the game to a blowout.

What could slow the 21-0 Golden State Warriors? Things looked rough at times to the tune of just a three point halftime lead after caressing a 17-point advantage.

Rudy Gay scored 20 points and pulled down seven rebounds for the Kings.

Down 75-70 with 3:10 left in the third, the Warriors were soon ahead 96-85 early in the fourth.

Klay Thompson added 26 points for the Warriors, and Draymond Green had 16 points, nine rebounds and six assists.

“It’s pretty purposeful just trying to see if I can get some room and figure out a way to impact the game”, Curry said. “Everywhere we’re going right now”. And while it’s encouraging and incredible to see Lowry playing at this level, it’s equally worrisome for the Raptors, who are seemingly unable to consistently provide Lowry with the scoring and minutes backup he’ll need moving forward. Improbably, the struggling Nets were leading in the third quarter. We took a couple of untimely, tough shots and they came down and made threes.

Stephen Curry scored 44 points to lead the Warriors. As has been the case for most of the last two seasons, Curry wasn’t needed much in the fourth quarter. “Plus, he has a great team around him”. That was the case with the Warriors Saturday night. “When he needs to, he can, and when he doesn’t need to, he takes a back seat to those other guys”. For us to have any chance against an elite team, we should be able to count on these guys.

“I don’t think there’s any burden with us [trying to keep the win streak alive]”, Walton said. Center Brook Lopez may finally be dealt this February as the team’s most productive player and best trade chip. Marc Gasol led Memphis with 22 points and former Ohio State player Mike Conley had 12. “I’ve always said it’s the mark of a team that rises up and becomes champion, the next year they have so much more confidence and belief that nobody can beat them”. At times we got a bit confused on our matchups and transitions. They’ve gone through six back-to-backs this season unblemished.

“I have to have great imagination on the floor”, Curry says.

Green made two free throws for a 104-102 Golden State lead with 1:25 to play as Golden State held off Toronto down the stretch.

Lack of team contribution: It’s no secret that when the Raptors share the ball and have a balanced attack on offense, they win.

But Lowry, a first-time All-Star in 2014-15, didn’t back down from the challenge, answering with 41 points and seven dimes of his own.

The Brooklyn Nets played hard on Sunday night.

“We battled and scratched and clawed, but they just stayed with their game until they overwhelmed us later on”. At 35, he’s both young enough to relate to the players and mature enough to recognize that his record – whether it’s 0-0 or 21-0 – is a byproduct of a talented roster anchored by the phenomenal Steph Curry. According to Golden State interim coach Luke Walton, Barnes is getting better although there is not a timetable for his return….
