Street Fighter V created to be playable for everyone

In tandem with Ono’s reveal, Capcom confirmed plans to host a third beta test for Street Fighter V, pegging the new beta for mid-December.

Capcom will once again team up with Machinima for a live-action limited web series, following “Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist”. “Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist” managed to pull in over 17 million views in aggregate across the 12 episodes of the series’ run. News about the tie in series titled “Street Fighter: Resurrection” emerged recently when a trailer for it was revealed by the developer Capcom. “Resurrection” will serve as a tie-in with “Street Fighter V”. Mousi’s Nash is targeting renowned “Street Fighter” champions for unidentified reasons and Ryu and Ken are intent on finding out why, Variety wrote.

The miniseries’ story is set ten years after the events of “Assassin’s Fist” and features majority of the same cast, GameSpot added. And series originals Mike Moh (Empire) and Christian Howard (The World’s End), who will reprise their roles as “Ryu” and “Ken'”. Instead, it was an internal decision because they wanted “the biggest possible number of people to play”, and that they don’t want something in the game that would be “uncomfortable”.

“Looking at Street Fighter III, it’s very well-known that it’s a master class title, it’s a masterpiece in and of itself, but the game got to a point where it was so high level that only masters could really play each other”. What we wanted to do was eliminate the gap between really, really strong players and new players as much as possible.
