“I see him crumbling… but it will be wrapped up inside of one”.

“I don’t know who is making the odds but if you want to make some easy money, you put it on Jose Aldo”. McGregor is headlining the event in a featherweight title unification bout against Jose Aldo. “They both like to keep the fight standing and they’re both strikers but I think Conor is the far superior striker”.

“That’s a big advantage for me, because I’ve never used it”, Alers said.

In 2008, five years before he made his UFC debut, McGregor laid out his plans for his future. “You’re going to see me go in there and get the win, and I don’t really care how I win, I care about winning”. Mendes, meanwhile, will look to rebound from a second-round TKO loss to interim champion Conor McGregor at UFC 189 in July.

McGregor has been parading around like he owns the joint since he first set foot in the UFC, but Aldo can bring his ascension to a screeching halt on Saturday. I have been telling people that I am now the pound-for-pound number one fighter on the planet. Weidman and Rockhold square off live on Pay-Per-View this Saturday at UFC 194, a massive show headlined by a featherweight championship battle between big-talking Conor McGregor and hasn’t-lost-in-a-decade Jose Aldo. Aldo may be the more balanced fighter between the two, but it’s so damn tough to bet against the toughness and striking ability of McGregor. He will think I am not there, and then I am there.

Aldo (25-1), who has been 145-pound champion since winning what was then called the WEC championship in November 2009, likes to keep the fight out in the center, where he uses devastating leg kicks and lightning-quick punches to slowly wear down his foe while darting in and out.

“It’s only as tough as you make it”, McGregor said. “But that’ll just be another day in the park for me”. Aldo is 7-0 in the UFC, with victories over Mendes (twice), Ricardo Llamas, Frankie Edgar and Kenny Florian.

“It was a lot of fun”, McGregor said during a media lunch in Los Angeles to promote UFC 194. “This one will be a master class. This one will be a changing of the guard”.
