Arsenal held 1-1 by Norwich as Sanchez comes off injured
“It was a hard game”.

“We played against a Norwich side that was at the top level physically and focused”.
Jack Wilshere, Danny Welbeck, Tomas Rosicky and Kieran Gibbs are the other players who are missing from the squad, with the former three having not played a single minute of the campaign thus far. “If he played today and he scored he would have said, “I was right to play him”, but he got an injury so we are obviously going to say he should have rested him”.
We have to go through that spell.
“Quite often if we see collective issues at one specific club, we have to look at a bunch of things specifically related with that club”. It’s not enough, but we have an opportunity to come back.
Arsenal striker Alexis Sanchez will be assessed over the next two days to gauge the severity of the injury he suffered in Sunday’s draw at Norwich.
That brings the number of Arsenal’s walking wounded to nine first-team players.
“He plays for Chile, travels 14 hours there and back, he plays every game but even when the game is won sometimes he will still go and put some pressure on teams…”
“We have three injuries”, Wenger told Sky Sports. To play Sanchez and risk putting arguably your best player out for weeks surely is lunacy.
“The players are there to play football and not to be rested and not for the press to decide if they need to be rested”, he said, as reported by TalkSPORT. He featured throughout Arsenal’s win over Dinamo Zagreb in midweek, even though the Gunners were comfortably 3-0 in front with 20 minutes to go.
Arsene Wengers men were held by Tottenham before losing 2-1 away to West Brom last week and a spirited Norwich City came from a goal down to force a 1-1 draw at Carrow Road on Sunday. In truth, the Czech gloveman did not have very much to do throughout the game, but his jaw-dropping reflex save from a fizzing cross with 15 minutes left on the clock helped the Gunners claim a point in a largely unconvincing performance at Carrow Road.
This evening was a frustrating one for Arsene Wenger’s stars against a resilient Norwich side who held them to a 1-1 draw. We just will have to up our game in our next match.

Cazorla (knee) and Sanchez (hamstring) both face a race against time to make it for the decisive match, but the club will not rule them out for certain until they receive the results of their fitness assessments by Thursday at the latest.
