Sliced chocolate for sandwiches is now a real thing

Okay, so no one can give you Harry Potter-esque powers in order to do that, but a new invention now makes it possible to use chocolate the same way you might use cheese.

The thin slices of chocolate are malleable, so placing them on your favorite slice of bread is only the beginning.

The chocolate can be rolled, folded and cut into any fancy shapes you desire.

The sugary treats are wrapped individually like cheese slices, and are simply ideal for sandwiches – although obviously not for those on a health kick.

Think about it! A slice of chocolate on your pancakes!

The slices can only be purchased from the company’s website in 12-pack bags for ¥3240 ($37). Japanese company Bourbon has unveiled the culinary masterpiece and people are losing their shit.

According to Rocket News 24, the slices are made from something called “nama chocolate”, which is less sweet than fudge but more flavourful than milk chocolate.

One image shows a person wrapping up the slice of chocolate inside a fruity crepe, and another shows a piece wrapped up inside sponge cake. Chocolate is great and this makes baking with it very easy. Can you imagine a peanut butter, jelly, Fruit Roll Up, and Chocolate slice sandwich? A five-slice pack will set you back around $2.25, which seems totally reasonable to us.
