Osweiler: I’m only concerned about starting this week

This cast is kind of like a holding pattern. “Is it better?’ The answer is, ‘I don’t know, because I’m not putting any pressure on it, and it’s sort of immobilized, ‘” Manning said Wednesday in the Broncos” locker room.

“But the idea is for it to help toward the healing process”. But there’s no guarantee whatsoever. I think the biggest thing to remind myself is there’s no way I’m getting on that cover if it’s not for all those other guys….

“I saw the TV copy, there was one hit he took, I saw his whole face looking like this”, Anderson said, scrunching his nose. “Some earth-shattering medical information there”, Manning said.

Peyton Manning just lost his cast today, and is still wearing a boot as he begins rehab.

Given this is Osweiler’s first turn as a starter, the Broncos have tried to keep him in a one-game-at-a-time mode.

The Broncos (9-2) have beaten Chicago and New England in Osweiler’s two starts. The Broncos quarterback is not worrying about losing the starting job to Brock Osweiler when he’s fully healthy. He started pointing out some things to me about some of the things that he felt good about, and he was echoing that to Brock.

“We’re totally committed to getting our quarterback, getting Peyton healthy, and getting him back and nothing’s changed”, Kubiak said, via ESPN. “It bothers me now”. He broke his forearm on November 18, 2012, and tore the ACL and MCL in his right knee on December 8, 2013.

In two games this season, Osweiler has gone 57-for-93, throwing for 666 yards with four touchdowns and two interceptions. Before the start of the season, everyone was excited for the matchup with most analysts even predicting the two elite QB’s to meet in the AFC championship game in late January. Osweiler’s most recent victory was a dramatic overtime win against the then-undefeated New England Patriots.

However, at this point, Denver needs to decide if they want to continue to ride out the twilight of Manning, or enter the dawn of Osweiler.

On the winning play, Osweiler, who swears he never let a day go by where he didn’t learn a lesson from Manning, diagnosed the defense and checked into a run. “A couple of those are protection issues, but they came after us, especially in the second half they came after us, blitzed us a little bit more and he’ll learn from that”.

There were reports that Osweiler was being dangled by John Elway a year ago for a 6th round draft pick, and I almost had to replace my laptop there was so much vomit on it after I read such an erroneous report. “That’s what I’m trying to do”.
