The Cook County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Bluefin Bay Resort on a call of shots fired just after midnight Wednesday.
The Ssheriff’s Ooffice said witnesses identified Bigby as the shooter, and he was arrested in a guest room after a brief tussle with law enforcement. He is scheduled to be arraigned Friday.
That shooting has been described as a terrorist act because the shooters, who were killed hours later during a gun battle with police, had expressed support of Islamic State militants.
Investigators said they found a handgun in the room where Bigby was hiding.
Rysdahl said Roberts’ brother also works for the gambling company and was present during the incident.
The victim was set to undergo an autopsy today by the St. Louis County Medical Examiner’s office.
Authorities said Marcus Lee Roberts was at the Bluefin Bay Resort in conjunction with a gaming company hired by the resort for entertainment at a holiday party.
Authorities said Bigby suffered minor injuries when he became uncooperative with arresting deputies. He was taken to Cook County North Shore Hospital and was treated and released back into custody.
