An Island mother of three who came under fire for splashing out on her children at Christmas has defended her actions.

“I LOVE christmas (sic) I LOVE spoiling my kids in the festive season and I work damn hard to make sure it is every bit as unbelievable as it can be, ” she wrote on Facebook before issuing an expletive-laden kiss-off to those “judgmental” people.

‘You can buy your children two presents or 200 but it is the way you bring them up.

It’s true that you can hardly see the Christmas tree for the pile of presents blocking it, but that’s merely a testament to Emma’s ability to snag a deal and save money, which is something she posts about on her blog. “[Her kids] will have no appreciation for little things in life”, slammed one writer.

The mum of two daughters aged 13 and nine, and a son of 19 months, said she doesn’t have a credit card and uses every “bargain and sale” that she can.

Jen Gale appeared to debate with Emma on This Morning as she said she is against consumerism and prefers homemade gifts. “You could buy your kids two presents and still have a little terror. My kids know the difference between right and wrong and they appreciate everything they get and they don’t get spoilt throughout the year”.

Cheryl-Ann Auld added: ‘It’s about spending time with loved ones not the amount you can spend’.

The image went viral and she has since been accused of “abusing” her children, The Sun reports.

Donna Williams reflected this view with her tweet: ‘It’s up to her but I bet her house is full of junk’.

“I was shocked how judgmental people were”, Tapping told British talk show This Morning on Thursday. She said she wanted to dispel the notion she was “bragging” about her presents, and said she never expected to share the picture with the world.

Every mum wants to spoil their kids at Christmas.
