Honda CB Hornet 160R launched at Rs 79900 ex-Delhi
The Honda Hornet 160 R street fighter which was unveiled at the Honda RevFest event earlier this year has been launched at INR 79,900 (ex-showroom, New Delhi).

The Honda CB Hornet 160R is positioned as a premium and sporty 160cc motorcycle and will co-exist with the Honda CB Unicorn 160, sharing the same engine.
Senior Vice-President for sales and marketing Yadvinder Singh Guleria said the new model meets the rising preference for higher capacity bikes, especially in the 150-180cc segment, which has been gaining traction of late.
Honda has also launched an exclusive mobile app that could be used booking this new motorcycle from Honda. The headlamp has sharp lines, with faux air scoops on the side. This very engine does duty on the CB Unicorn and is known for its smooth operation.
The CB Hornet 160R will be initially available for sale in 21 locations namely New Delhi, Ahmedabad, Alibag, Bangalore, Bashirhat (Kolkata), Boisar, Chennai, Cochin, Dehradun, Goa, Hyderabad, Indore, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Panvel, Pune, Surat, Thane, Vijaywada and Vizag, followed by availability in the other locations with the beginning of 2016. The “CB Hornet 160R” application will give customers access to the product specifications and features.
Powering the Honda CB Hornet is a 162.71cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that develops 14.5bhp of maximum power at 8,000rpm and 14.61Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm. Transmitting power to the wheels is a 5-speed transmission with 1-down 4-up shift pattern. A 276mm Nissin made disc brake unit is deployed in front, while there is the option of a 220mm disc brake or 130mm drum unit at the rear. The front and rear tyres are of size 100/80-17 and 140/80-17 respectively.

The CB Hornet 160R is available in five colours – Neo Orange Metallic, Pearl Amazing White, Sports Red, Pearl Siren Blue and Pearl Nightstar Black.
