Record-breaker Ronaldo tells fans to lay off Rafa

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has admitted that there are “no certainties” over his future, and refused to rule out a move to the Spanish club’s rivals Barcelona or his former club Manchester United. CR7 did little to silence those speculations during a Champions League clash against PSG, being caught on camera speaking to Laurent Blanc – allegedly telling the French boss of his desire to play under him.

“It’s my seventh season here and I am used to knowing how things go here”.

“It’s just speculation and it happens every year, but this club has helped me a lot since I arrived and I am very happy here”, he said.

The winger said he hopes to gain the self-belief that makes the Messi and Ronaldo “unique”. If someone treats you well, you are nice to him.

“I know that’s obvious, they should, but they just take it so seriously”.

Ronaldo also quashed rampant rumours suggesting he and Real Madrid coach Rafa Benitez had been feuding.

Ronaldo made it 3-0 six minutes before halftime with a free kick and the Portugal forward netted a quickfire treble at the start of the second half to extend his Champions League scoring record to 88 goals in 121 appearances.

The pair have been pictured together on Hari’s Instagram account but Ronaldo refused to give any more details on his problems, telling reporters “they stay with me”.

“I am very happy and satisfied for the side and for all of the Madrid supporters that showed trust in the side”. We had the setback against Cadiz (in the Copa del Rey), but we are going through a good moment. “There were some setbacks in the beginning but now I’m more confident”.
