Trump has been in the center of a storm of controversy since proposing earlier this week a blanket ban on Muslims entering the US. Posting signs at their business – and on Twitter – aimed at Trump, saying “hate has no business here”.

An online petition to ban United States presidential hopeful Donald Trump has become the most popular on the Government’s website as it soared towards half a million signatures. On Fox New Wednesday morning, when Cruz was asked about his relationship with the GOP presidential frontrunner by host Bill Hemmer he said he remained “grateful Donald Trump is running”.

The poll also found that seven in 10 likely Republican primary voters believe Trump is well-equipped to confront the threat of terrorism, with four in 10 “very confident” he could respond to the threat. Critics say the proposal is racist and unconstitutional. The United States, like most of the global community, refuses to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and says the city’s status must be resolved in negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians.

He was also criticized for an appearance before the Republican Jewish Coalition last week in which he joked about an array of Jewish stereotypes. And this tactical use of terror as a means to an end is, Abdul-Jabbar claimed, akin to ISIS’ own blueprint of deploying panic and horror as stepping stones to political supremacy. I mean, did you ever hear of a Republican leading by 20 and 22 and 25 points, and all of a sudden I’m going to say “oh, I’m going to return as an independent”?

But Zell, stressing that he was expressing his personal opinion, said it was all for the best that Trump had canceled.

Members of Israel’s opposition condemned the visit.

Netanyahu’s office declined comment on the cancellation.

Earlier this year, Netanyahu extended an invitation to meet with all presidential candidates. “You’re not going to support me because I don’t want your money”, Trump said, Reuters reported.

However, he did not deny making the comments or explain how they might have been taken out of context. “I don’t remember taking the “I heart trump” survey?”

Trump has threatened to leave the Republican Party if he’s not treated fairly, and Graham indicated that he maybe should. He also stressed the meeting did not amount to an endorsement of Trump.

Trump told Fox News he postponed the trip because he did not want to put pressure on Netanyahu, who faced demands from Israeli politicians to call off the planned December 28 meeting. The whole world would stand up in protest, saying this is a racist anti-Semite.

He punched the entire political pantheon, in which nearly every Republican candidate has demonised Muslims, without being as inyour-face as Trump.

A phone call to Trump’s campaign has not been returned. “Is there anybody who doesn’t negotiate deals in this room”.
