Ronaldo happy at Madrid after Champions League record goal haul
Madrid scored eight against the Swedes – Cristiano Ronaldo getting four and Karim Benzema getting three – and Benitez was asked post-match about the record score line, the second time he’s coached a team to such a win.

“I am very happy, it was a good game for the team, all the players, not just those up front. We knew it was a recreation we might do properly in, by placing on strain up prime we might rating”, Ronaldo was quoted as saying by ESPNFC.
Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has admitted “personal problems” have been behind his inconsistent form this season.
Ronaldo played down rumours of a rift with Benítez and said that he was happy at the club.
“I’ve got two more years on my contract and I’m not going to leave”.
He said his brief sideline meeting with PSG coach Laurent Blanc during a recent match at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium didn’t mean anything.
Ronaldo claims off-field distractions are to blame for his topsy-turvy performances at the start of the campaign but says the issues are now behind him.
Fans were still angry at the demoralizing 4-0 home loss to Barcelona in the Spanish league and disqualification from the Copa del Rey because the club used an ineligible player.
“What happened with Blanc was that he had spoken very well about me before and I only thanked him for his declarations and I told him that I had liked them a lot”.
“Everybody criticises a club like Real Madrid when things don’t go right”. He’s always treated me well but there’s nothing more to it than that.
“I’m really pleased for the team, all the players and the crowd who would have really enjoyed that”, Benitez said.
“I didn’t realise [he was whistled], it was a surprise”.
The total goals scored by the Portuguese in hat-tricks now surpasses that of his Brazilian namesake, who played for Madrid between 2002 and 2007 (h/t Mike Dalby on Twitter). He is doing a good job and is adapting well to Real Madrid.

“It’s normal. That’s why I’m not anxious, because I know that everything has a beginning and everything has an end”.
