UFC wants Holly Holm’s next fight to be rematch with Rousey
Holly Holm reacts after knocking out rematch-confirmed-by-dana-white-5478/”>Ronda Rousey to win the UFC women’s bantamweight title. Fresquez identified Miesha Tate as the next challenger before the rematch, stating that Holly wants to “fight the best, and right now Miesha’s the best”. On the first round, it was clear that Holms used her experience and skills in picking Ronda apart through boxing. Holm’s manager, Lenny Fresquez, perhaps in a bit of trash-talk, told Lance Pugmire of the Times that he doesn’t think that Rousey will be ready for a July rematch.

Dana White responded to Holm’s manager via the Los Angeles Times and sarcastically dismissed his concerns.
“We understand there are risks, but Holly’s a dominant champion, and she wants to fight the best”.
Fans can rest their worries now as reports claim that the rematch will officially happen next year.
Holm, 34, shocked the world at UFC 193 when she dethroned undefeated “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey and took her place at the head of the table.
Now, the only thing that makes sense for Rousey is trying to get her title back from Holm. A rematch was scheduled for March 20, 2016, but Ronda told ESPN, “It might be three to six months before I can eat an apple, let alone take an impact”.
With that being said, Cyborg’s next Invicta fight was supposed to be at a catchweight of 140 pounds with hopes of eventually making it down to the bantamweight division to hypothetically face Rousey at UFC 200.
“We’re real concerned with his opinion”, White said, reminding Holm’s crew that he was still the decision-maker.

The Daily Mail published photos of Rousey in a dog park and walking with Nick Cassavetes, who is directing “Road House”, a movie in which she’ll appear, Photographers also captured her Thursday kissing Browne outside their L.A-area gym. White, who has been in contact with Rousey since her defeat, told ESPN last week he and UFC CEO Lorenzo Fertitta should “probably lose our promoter’s license” if the company didn’t book a rematch.
