Apple releases iOS 9.2, brings Arabic language support to Siri

The over-the-air update is the fourth such release since the original iOS 9 build. Apple’s official blog says the update features great improvements to applications and major bug fixes. Lastly, Cue sharing that Apple is developing a more featured Remote app for iOS is a change from the no comment given between the Apple TV’s launch at the end of October and yesterday’s fix.

Speaking of Safari, Apple has posted a separate update to fix 12 flaws in the browser’s WebKit engine, including vulnerabilities that can be targeted for remote code execution attacks. For starters users who speak Arabic will be pleased to learn that Siri will finally be able to understand them.

Indeed, it could be a very specific hardware problem based on a power supply component or some other part, so it’s worth watching to see if Apple continues to update the support page as it learns more about the issue.

For mail users, they can now use Mail Drop for sending large files. Users of an iPhone 6S or iPhone 6S Plus can now take advantage of the 3D Touch feature that has been integrated into the iBooks app. iOS 9.2 now includes support for the Apple USB Camera Adapter, as well for accessories used to import photos from digital cameras.

Apple has released updates to iOS 9.2, WatchOS 2.1, OS X El Capitan 10.11.2 including a minor update to tvOS 9.1. It can be downloaded now in the Apple Watch app from the user’s iPhone.
