Roy Keane adds to criticism of Manchester United

United dropped into the Europa League after a 3-2 loss to Wolfsburg on Tuesday meant they finished third in Group B behind the Bundesliga club and PSV Eindhoven. “I am sure that Manchester United are still going to get a lot of joy out of Schweinsteiger”.

“For me, the Euro (Europa) League is a big competition”.

United crashed out of the Champions League earlier this week, piling further pressure on the Dutchman.

Van Gaal’s position has come under increased scrutiny on the back of United’s failure to progress in Europe but Keane believes the players must take responsibility.

“To be fair I didn’t want him to be suspended, because now I want Manchester United to win games!”

However, what is certain is that it has only added to the growing frustration and disillusion at the club and it all continues to lead to speculation over the United’s boss future at Old Trafford, as noted by the Daily Mail.

I never read papers and I think that it’s the truth. I have already won the competition when it was the UEFA Cup in my first season at Ajax and I was very proud of that. “He made it his mission to understand each and every person he worked with, whether they were players or staff”, he said.

In any event, the Europa League isn’t that bad.

“You have to analyse the club now”.

Louis van Gaal insists the Europa League is a top honour worth winning and insists the concerns surrounding United’s future from fans and critics are not shared within Old Trafford.

Van Gaal hoped Rojo would not require surgery.

“Can we still win the Premier League title?”

Bastian Schweinsteiger is suspended, but fellow midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin is fit after a hip injury.

The defenders join Antonio Valencia, Luke Shaw, Marcos Rojo and Phil Jones in the treatment room, while Wayne Rooney and Ander Herrera are also unavailable and Bastian Schweinsteiger is suspended having been charged with violent conduct.

“I think Manchester United have a lot of good players, there’s no getting away from that, but I don’t think they are good enough for Man United”.

“It is not so good”, Van Gaal said when asked about the fitness of his squad.
