Man dead after suspected drug overdose at Adelaide Stereosonic
Police are investigating whether there is a link between the suspected cases of overdose at the Adelaide Stereosonic festival. Two others, a 20-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman, were taken to hospital in a critical condition after consuming illicit substances. If either or both of them dies, the death toll will rise even higher.

Only two were charged and bailed while two others are expected to be charged later on summons. Police arrested almost 70 festival-goers for drug offences. The use of the dogs have resulted in many arrests, but not in putting an end to concert attendees overdosing on drugs.
Asked whether the government would consider on-site drug testing at festivals, Keenan said the issue came down to “personal responsibility”.
Police released images of red and orange pills that were found on Mr Woodward the same died he died – pills which seemed to slip through the police net and into the festival. Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull sent his condolences to the Adelaide man’s family, after he announced $300 million in new funding for treatment, prevention and education to tackle the ice scourge.
“The people that manufacture them, they are only interested in the profit, they don’t care about the consequences”.
A 19-year-old man died in hospital after it was thought he consumed an illicit drug.
Festival organisers said they were “devastated to hear of another loss to drugs” in a statement published on its Facebook page.
According to a December 7 report in The West Australian, three police officers who attended the festival in Perth tested positive for methamphetamine and ecstasy. Still, Totem Onelove helps in promoting the festivals.
“I want organisers of events like these to make sure there is enough first aid on offer to make sure that no-one gets turned away, and no-one feels they need to wait“, the family said.
The show in Brisbane marks the end of the festival’s 5 stop tour and with that festival organizers and police are already planning for more secure measures for Stereosonic’s return in 2o16. We are imploring people to see the dangers of the situation, enjoy the day and please be safe.
SA police also intercepted half a kilogram of methamphetamine allegedly bound for the festival on Friday.

There was also a death at Stereosonic’s Sydney event when pharmacist Sylvia Choi, 25, was struck down, again by a suspected drug overdose. Six people were evicted from the event.
