Warriors Vs Celtics: Injury-Stricken Warriors Streak Ends Friday Night?

The 23-0 Golden State Warriors are in town for a visit, and there are plenty of believers who think the Boston Celtics can knock off the current National Basketball Association kings. With a mixture of confidence in themselves, excitement for a big game and respect for their opponents, the Boston Celtics looked forward to their matchup against the undefeated Golden State Warriors. If he does play, though, their chances of being the first to topple the champs and end the streak definitely take a hit, not only because of Thompson’s scoring ability but because that impacts all the Warriors’ rotations and allows them to stay fresher for the bursts they put on teams that leave them down double digits in a heartbeat. Cleveland is down. Chicago is down.

This Friday, the Boston Celtics have the seemingly impossible task other teams have been unable to accomplish.

“Believe it or not, not as long as you think”, he said.

“One of the great things about this team is our guys are confident all the way down the line”, interim coach Luke Walton said.

Fun fact: Stephen Curry already has the top two and three of the five best single-season efforts in 3-pointers made. That’s bound to change as the season goes on, but with the emphasis on conditioning and new-age rehab, the ability to limit minutes thanks to depth and accrued wins, and the absolute depth of this roster from No. 1 (Curry) to No. 12, the Warriors can battle through the kind of ailments that might sabotage a lesser team’s chances at playoff positioning. He is coming off a season-high 39-point showing on Tuesday night against the Indiana Pacers, and knocking down 44 percent of his shots from downtown. “If there’s any concern at all that his ankle’s hurt, then we’re not going to play him”.

“They’re in the same league as us”, said center Jared Sullinger, who’s grabbed 36 rebounds during Boston’s two-game win streak. Lee played it cool when asked how long he’d had tonight’s game marked on his calendar. They are the best 3-point shooting team at 43.8 percent – 3.6 percentage points better than Indiana. “For them to run through the league the way they’re running through the league just tells you not only how good they are, but how grounded they are”. Like Brad said today, we’re just going to focus on ourselves. If we don’t get there, it’s not the end of the world.

“Golden State is on fire right now, but I know that we have the capacity to win the championship”.

With 82 games in the regular season, half of those spent on the road, it is rare for season ticket holders to make it to all 41 of their team’s home games.

The Warriors Streak is in danger for a number of reasons.
