On Nov. 28 Bishop Michael Sheridan of Colorado Springs voiced prayers for the victims of the attack and those who “experienced the horror of being trapped in or near Planned Parenthood”.

She took to Twitter on Sunday to share her experiences at the Kansas clinic in which she spent three years working.. Factcheck.org said a short clip of a fetus kicking was not from the footage shot at Planned Parenthood; there was no indication where this footage came from or what the context was.

Late Monday, the husband of Jennifer Markovsky, a woman who was killed in the assault, released a statement recalling how she read to their two children and helped them with their homework.

It was part of a rambling statement that investigators are parsing to understand the reasoning behind the deadly attack.

The new facility offers the full range of reproductive healthcare that Planned Parenthood provides in communities across the United States, including gynecological and breast exams, testing for sexually transmitted disease, birth control and abortion services.

Like other Planned Parenthood clinics across the country, she noted, the Springs site has seen “an alarming increase in hateful rhetoric and smear campaigns against abortion providers and patients over the last few months, and that environment breeds acts of violence”. In response, Planned Parenthood said it will never close its doors or back down to protesters or violent extremists.

“This night we reaffirm a moral promise”, said Rev. Marvin Ellison, a theologian and volunteer chaplain for Planned Parenthood in Maine.

“Nowhere in his speech today does he talk about the victims or the families or for example the Iraqi war vet has set up a go fund me account to help the family to help he’s got two little girls”, said J.R. Romano, the Connecticut Republican Party chairman.

“I think it’s important to recognize that words matter”, said Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards in a Monday-morning interview with NPR.

“The media, just like Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, are trying to politicize this tragic shooting”, Mr. Cruz said.

Federal authorities have the option of filing charges but haven’t said whether they will do so, though a coalition of advocacy groups is calling on the Justice Department – which is reviewing the case – to investigate violence against abortion clinics as domestic terrorism.
