A Ma’an reporter said Uday Irsheid, 24, was shot in the chest and critically wounded during clashes with Israeli military forces at the northern entrance to Hebron.
Almost 120 Palestinians and about 20 Israelis have been killed in the recent wave of clashes between Palestinians and Israelis since the start of October.
Hebron, in the southern West Bank, has been a flashpoint in more than two months of Palestinian knife, gun and car-ramming attacks.
National Coalition for Palestinian Injured People reported that the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) have killed 121 Palestinians since the beginning of the third intifada.
An Israeli military spokesperson said that Palestinians hurled rocks at the soldiers and rolled burning tyres towards their positions. Ersheid is the brother of high school student Dania Ersheid, who was shot dead by Israeli border police in late October in Hebron.
Hundreds of mourners gathered on Friday to bury Oday Ersheid next to his sister, Dania, who was killed in October. She says security forces shot back and hit the attacker before he escaped in a van.
Sami Maadi, who was 41, died after Israeli forces used live fire on a group of protesters in the al-Bureij refugee camp.
Some 75 of the Palestinians are alleged to have launched attacks on Israelis, and died as a result, while the remained died in clashes with security forces. The Palestinian Ministry of Health identified the assailant as Issa Hroub, 55, from the nearby village of Deir Samet.
After Friday’s protest, clashes broke out between Palestinian stone throwers and soldiers, with six Palestinians wounded, an AFP correspondent said.
In the other incident, assailants shot at a auto near the West Bank town of Tulkarem, wounding two Israelis.
No Israelis were hurt in that attack either.
