Lauren Murray misses out on a place in the final!

There seems to be a new one every week, with each one more ludicrous that the last.

Reggie n Bollie and favourite to win Louisa Johnson made it through automatically while after an emotionally charged sing-off Che Chesterman beat Lauren Murray after the result went to deadlock.

Backed by Nick, the Basildon singer wanted to bring “old soul” back to the X Factor stage, and he has done so with his performances featuring his falsetto, with his take on songs by Amy Winehouse, James Brown, Otis Redding, Marvin Gaye, The Supremes and Donny Hathaway.

Rita told Che that she thought he had one of the best voices in the competition but she had to save her own act, Lauren.

Despite not being able to earn while taking part in Simon Cowell’s money-making show, Lauren has described the financial contribution contestants are given as nothing more than “pocket money”.

We even got a little cheeky and chucked in a question about Rita’s love life to see if she’d spill any surprising details on the single star. She claims that the experience turned her off TV for good.

“I think that could be the moment she turned from being a contender into being a star”, he added.

Lauren – who confessed she nearly had a “panic attack” before her final performance – said: “I’ve come this far”.

She says: “I’ve come all this way now”.

They’ve been the surprise of this year’s X Factor and now Reggie n Bollie are heading to Newcastle tonight!

Showing us all how to handle a wardrobe malfunction and keep on singing (plus, throwing what definitely feels like shade at the contestants during Dermot’s interview, with her “practice, pratice, practice” remark).

“I’m not going to say everything is flawless but we have some ideas already which will make it popular for next year” he said.

“Someone said, ‘I hope your mum gets shot in the head by ISIS.’ I’ve had loads of them, death threats, it’s disgusting”. I think Reggie expressed that he had depression on the stage and I was like, that is courageous and the fact that he flipped it all around and all his music is just joy and positivity is an incredible thing. Even watching at home – they get you dancing!
