Harrison Ford slams Donald Trump…In The Most Polite Harrison Ford Way

The “reminder” comes after the Republican presidential hopeful was quoted as saying he loves the veteran actor and his movies: “My favorite was Harrison Ford on the plane”.

Even so, Trump’s fans noted Ford in the same admiring way.

Maybe so, but as Ford noted during a news conference Wednesday to promote “Star Wars: The Force Reckons”, that’s not quite how it works in the real world.

In the 1997 action flick “Air Force One”, Harrison Ford plays a kick-ass president of the United States. “He stood up for America”.

“Donald, it’s a movie“, Ford said, displaying more than a hint of his trademark exasperation.

The Star Wars actor appeared on Australian morning show Studio 10 on Wednesday, Dec. 9, where he was asked for his thoughts on Trump’s remarks.

“It’s a movie. Donald”, Ford said while speaking with BBC. It’s understanding the visual complexity of the thing, the joy of creating this body of knowledge of flight, that you didn’t know anything about and then applying it to practice – that is the appealing thing to me. Give Ford a medal.

In an interview with Fusion’s Jorge Ramos, Harrison Ford opened up about renting one of Trump’s NYC properties more than a decade ago. “I don’t think so”, he added. “I don’t think it’s about being like me”, he said.

While Luke Skywalker is technically the main character of the Star Wars saga, arguably no other member of the central ensemble has ever rivaled the popularity of Han Solo.
