Let him say what he wants: Sonia Gandhi on PM Modi
The disruption of Parliament proceedings has led to delay in taking up of Goods and Services Tax Bill that seeks to bring in a uniform indirect tax regime across the country.

The Congress Party, for the past few days, has disrupted both houses of Parliament.
On being asked if he would apply for bail in the case, Rahul Gandhi said: “Let’s see what happens on 19th (of December)”. “Within this framework the Congress party is perfectly happy, we have already stated that, and happy to move GST forward”, he said. Congress also accused high court of pursuing Legal Vendetta against Gandhis. Its members charged the government with “vendetta politics”, while Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said the government was willing to “all issues”. A source, not wanting to be quoted, said: “Behenji (Mayawati) has already said since it is a judicial matter, it is outside Parliament’s domain”. “No one else other than from one family has the right to rule this country”, he said.
Sonia and Rahul were summoned in the case in June 2014, after Swamy had filed a grievance accusing them of dishonest and misappropriation of budget in obtaining ownership of now-defunct English day by day national herald. “Fake CBI cases are being registered in Haryana, but no action taken against BJP chief ministers involved in scams”, he said. In effect she and her followers are implying that Sonia is the Congress and the Congress is Sonia.
Meanwhile, Congress leaders maintained that the government has not yet conveyed to them what changes in the GST bill would be made after former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh raised the party’s concerns in the meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. A case against Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi is their personal legal trouble.
Congress today continued with its protests in the Lok Sabha against the “defamatory” comments of a BJP member against its leaders and staged a walkout, along with Trinamool, RJD and JD(U), after their demand for an apology from him drew no assurance from either the Speaker or government. Congress took out a solidarity march in his support.
He further said that the statements of Congress president Sonia Gandhi and party vice-president Rahul Gandhi show that the duo are trying to arbitrage their political strength in the Parliament. “The National Herald case is in court, and the parties – those who have been accused in that case – have got the strong suspicion that the motives of the BJP government are suspect”.

In his lawsuit, Dr Swamy alleges that once the Gandhis had founded Young Indian, they used their control of Congress to have the party “sell” the National Herald’s 900 million rupee debt to the non-profit, in exchange for a one-time payment of 5 million rupees. Encouraged by its performance in the Bihar elections, the Congress leadership was turning its attention to revamping the party organisation and preparing for the next round of assembly polls.
