Israel forces kill 3 Palestinians in West Bank, Gaza

Three Palestinians have died and a dozen were wounded in violence in the Occupied Territories, with two being killed by Israeli gunfire in the West Bank and another man shot dead in Gaza.

The West Bank victim was identified as 22-year-old Jihad Ersheid, who was reportedly shot in the chest with live ammunition during clashes in Hebron.

Also on Friday, 57-year-old Issa Al-Hroub was killed north of Hebron as he tried to ram his vehicle over Israeli soldiers there.

Hebron: Israeli soldiers and settlers fatally shot a Palestinian youth on Wednesday in Hebron, making the number of Palestinian casualties since early October reach 118, WAFA reported citing security sources. She says security forces shot back and hit the attacker before he escaped in a van.

Since 1 October, nearly daily attacks and clashes between Palestinians and Israeli soldiers have killed 116 on the Palestinian side, 17 Israelis, an American and an Eritrean.

In Gaza, Palestinians poured out in the hundred along Israel’s separation barrier with the strip, to protest and show solidarity with Palestinians in the West Bank, Jerusalem, and present-day Israel.

Since mid-September, Palestinians have killed 19 Israelis. The Israeli military said troops used nonlethal means in an attempt to disperse hundreds of Palestinians trying to damage the fence before forces fired in the group.

More than half of the Palestinians fatalities have been alleged attackers.

An Israeli military spokesperson said that Palestinians hurled rocks at the soldiers and rolled burning tyres towards their positions.

“An Israeli soldier asked her to take the knife out of her bag, then he immediately fired gunshots into the air”, the witness said.
