In retaliation for the remarks presidential hopeful Donald Trump made about banning Muslims from entering the United States, hacktivist collective Anonymous released a video targeting the mogul for a cyberattack.

The candidate said Thursday that he canceled a planned visit to Israel, a day after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rejected Trump’s comments about Muslims.

Appearing on MSNBC, he said Mr. Trump had created “unity” in the House of Commons, as politicians from all sides competed to condemn his “wrong and dangerous” comments regarding Muslim immigration in the strongest possible terms.

Apparently, the group isn’t very happy with many of Trump’s stances, particularly his call to ban all Muslim immigration to the United States.

“Donald Trump’s opinions as a private citizen in no way reflect the position of the company’s views or those of its other investors and owners”, the hotel said in statement earlier this week.

Trump’s name was still intact on another part of the property which was being guarded by security.

“You are a disgrace not only to the GOP but to all America”, he wrote.

Trump is the leading Republican candidate in the 2016 presidential election. His statement that Muslims should be banned entering United States evoked sharp criticism not only in the USA but also around the world.

Shutting down the website for Trump Tower is not a bold step.

Trump has been unapologetic, rejecting challenges on his proposal from Democrats, Republicans and global leaders.

Earlier this week, a handle claiming to be “Anonymous Operations” posted a video on YouTube with the message: “Donald Trump think twice before you speak anything”.
