Kabam Brings Star Wars: Uprising to iOS and Android
Disney has given Tim Schafer and Double Fine the go-ahead to make remastered versions of Grim Fandango, Day of the Tentacle and Full Throttle, and apparently they’re even looking into reviving Star Wars 1313. In an interview with SlashFilm, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy said that they are looking to “explore” some of these old Lucasfilm ideas, including 1313 and the Star Wars live-action series.

After The Force Awakens drops next week (Dec. 18), it’s all about Rogue One, the A New Hope prequel about how the Rebellion stole the plans to the Death Star.
While the main “Star Wars” saga is characterized as the epic story of the Skywalker family, Kennedy said the spinoffs – referred to as the “Star Wars Story” films – “can be a wide variety of genres inside the “Star Wars” universe”.

Freedom in tone also allows for more freedom from the directors, as Kennedy explained – in a way that inspired comparisons on how the Marvel Cinematic Universe isn’t as flexible.
They are really being designed as standalone movies which is fantastic for the filmmakers we bring in, and the actors we hire, because it’s a different sensibility.
The assets that had been developed were eventually repurposed by LucasArts for Star Wars 1313, a videogame focusing on the early days of Boba Fett.
