When asked if the Goods and Services Tax Bill was listed for passage with a week left for the Winter Session to conclude, Naqvi said that the GST was listed. “The Congress is, therefore, crying foul and calling it political vendetta”, he wrote.

However, Jaitley asserted that prima facie there was a “breach of provisions of the Income-Tax Act” in the transactions and indicated that “income tax authorities would follow their own procedure”.
