Prince’s music removed from all streaming services except tidal

Spotify said it had received a request from Prince’s publisher asking it to remove his music. Prince’s music is also still on digital radio services such as Pandora and Songza, which operate on so-called compulsory licenses that make it tricky for artists to refuse to participate. Apple Music allows you to download songs so you can still listen to your favorite tunes without racking up the cell phone data bill. But it’s still too soon to tell who will come out triumphant in the streaming wars -Google Play, Apple Music, or Spotify – so we’ll just have to wait and see. Singer Prince has pulled out his music from music streaming service Spotify.
