There were no surprises in that regard, as the Seahawks won easily, 35-6, with their quarterback continuing to attack the record books.

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett (16) celebrates his touchdown with Baltimore Ravens cornerback Lardarius Webb (21) nearby, during the first half an NFL football game, Sunday, Dec. 13, 2015, in Baltimore. His receivers, not so much. Harris didn’t seem like the answer in his unimpressive performance on Sunday, totaling 42 yards on 18 carries (Rawls had 44 yards on 6 carries).

But the offense now is firmly in control of Wilson, who had five touchdown passes Sunday. After a dismal start to the season, Seattle is in the driver seat for a Wild Card playoff spot in the NFC.

“We knew it’d get better somewhere along the line”, Carroll said.

This was the second time Clausen started against Seattle this year.

The game marked the fifth straight contest in which the Seahawks have scored 29 or more points.

Seattle rookie running back Thomas Rawls broke his left ankle in the first quarter of a game against the Ravens and is out for the season, coach Pete Carroll said. He started the Week 3 game – a 26-0 loss to Seattle.

It would’ve been impossible to guess months ago that a potentially serious injury to Rawls would be such a big deal to the Seahawks. As Marshawn Lynch went down with a season-ending injury, the Seahawks have sprung to life led by some impressive numbers by Wilson.

“Everything that he’s doing right now, he’s done before”, Baldwin said. Whether Lynch can return this season remains uncertain.

Because quarterback Matt Schaub is questionable for Sunday, Renner could serve as the backup to Jimmy Clausen if Schaub is placed on the inactive list. “We had technique issues”, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said. He will be placed on injured reserve and miss the rest of the season. Kamar Aiken has been a reliable target in the absence of Smith, registering 30 catches over the past five games, while Baltimore’s defense ranks No. 10 in the league against the run with 97.5 yards allowed per game.

For the Ravens, they quietly get what they really needed, which is one step closer to a top-three pick in the draft – even if they really didn’t want their second-largest home loss in franchise history. Over the last three games, Wilson has thrown for 879 yards and 11 touchdowns in this span while also chipping in with 95 rushing yards and a touchdown.
