Missouri Planned Parenthood denies abortion record request

On Friday, Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine announced an investigation revealed aborted fetuses from Planned Parenthood facilities were disposed of in landfill sites.

DeWine made the accusation simultaneously with the announcement that the investigation into whether any Ohio Planned Parenthoods sold fetal remains had ended because there was no evidence they had done so.

The investigation was initiated in July to explore whether Planned Parenthood affiliates in Bedford Heights, Cincinnati and Columbus were violating OH law by selling fetal tissue or abortion trafficking.

Kight says the agency’s agreements with waste disposal vendors require them to dispose of tissue appropriately.

DeWine’s office opened the investigation into Planned Parenthood in July after anti-abortion activists released undercover videos of Planned Parenthood officials discussing the price of fetal body parts.

“I don’t think most Ohioans believe this is a proper disposal, a humane disposal”, DeWine told reporters on Friday.

According to cleveland.com, DeWine said in a press conference that the disposal system the state found does not violate OH law but does violate state administrative code, which states that a “fetus shall be disposed of in a humane manner”. Such donations are illegal in OH, and a Planned Parenthood state leader has said no donation program exists here.

DeWine, a Republican, said his office, in conjunction with the Ohio Department of Health, would likely file court papers seeking an injunction ordering Planned Parenthood to dispose of fetal remains humanely.

(U.S. Senate)- Following the recent Planned Parenthood shooting in Colorado, Senator Jon Tester is taking steps to affirm that all women have the right to seek healthcare without fear. Congress is on the verge of passing a reconciliation bill that will gut parts of Obamacare and defund Planned Parenthood for a year.

Planned Parenthood officials blasted the probe as an attack meant to ban abortion in the state.

Tester is cosponsoring a Senate Resolution that emphasizes the importance of the health care services millions of women receive from Planned Parenthood.

In their complaint, attorneys for Planned Parenthood argued, Hodges has “arbitrarily singled out” the organization.
