Johnson also sang her version of Bob Dylan’s “Forever Young” as the winner’s single and “It’s A Man’s Man’s Man’s World” as her favorite song during the results show.

A stunned Johnson was extremely emotional, barely managing to speak as she thanked those who voted for her. If I make a decision they’ll stick with it and I just can’t thank them enough.

“This is my dream and I’m loving it”, said Johnson from Essex.

Other highlights included Fleur East’s and Little Mix’s duet AND we have to say Louisa singing with her mentor Rita Ora stole the show.

Earlier in the night, both acts were given high praise, with Simon Cowell calling Louisa non-human, while while Reggie N Bollie could have been surprise winners according to judges Nick Grimshaw and Simon Cowell.

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini wasn’t bitter about her loss either, and was quick to congratulate Louisa on her incredible win.

There will also be guest performances by Adele, Coldplay and One Direction.

X Factor winners have had mixed success over the show’s 12 years, with runners up such as Olly Murs and JLS often proving more successful than the winners.

Reggie N Bollie, meanwhile, have carved out their own niche as the fun act of this year’s X Factor with their nonsensical, but energetic, takes on floor-fillers and pop classics. Simon Cowell said a heartfelt goodbye to his protégées, telling them they had been an “absolute pleasure” to work with.

After opening the final with Christina Aguilera’s Fighter, Louisa donned an all white outfit for her angelic performance of I Believe I Can Fly by R Kelly.

Reggie “N” Bollie, the Ghanaian statement at this year’s X Factor reality show failed in their bid to win the title.

She followed up with The Power Of Love by Frankie Goes To Hollywood. One Direction delighted fans with their performance of their latest single, Infinity.

They were joined on stage by people dressed as monkeys and as presenter Caroline Flack joined lead singer Chris Martin on stage she said: “Oh you’re so sweaty”, following it up with: “That was unbelievable, I love your monkeys”.
