Jose Mourinho believes Jamie Vardy will flourish at ‘bigger clubs’

And the crisp giants have since bowed down to an apparently overwhelming public demand, and will hand out 32,000 packs of “Vardy Salted” crisps (get it?) to supporters when Leicester host Chelsea on Monday night. Six years ago Vardy was banging the goals in for Stocksbridge Park Steels in the Northern Premier League Division One. The Algerian, who is now four goals behind Vardy with 10, has moved to ease the pressure on the Foxes ahead of the game against Jose Mourinho’s side.

That has at least partly been down to the outstanding run of former Fleetwood striker Vardy, who set a Premier League record by scoring in 11 consecutive games on his way to a league leading haul of 14.

“Even at a big club (counter-attack) transitions are important, fast players are important, people to attack space behind defenders are important”.

‘It doesn’t matter for us, it’s just a team. “But I think a fast player with objective and being direct can have success everywhere”.

Chelsea full-back Branislav Ivanovic admits he did not start the season well but believes that poor form is behind him. “I hope and I think we will have time to speak about my future”. When questioned over whether he would kick Leicester’s in-form danger man in order to achieve three points, Ivanovic said he was more than willing to bend the rules. You kill their confidence.
