Wilson airs out five touchdowns, Seahawks pummel Ravens
But if he’s not ready for a regular-season game or even the playoffs, the Seahawks will still be the team to beat because of Wilson.

Wilson threw five touchdowns with no interceptions, making it 16 (out of 26 this season) without getting intercepted once during the four-game win streak, in the 35-6 win over the now officially out of the playoffs Baltimore Ravens. That’s a weird class. Rookie receiver Tyler Lockett is also becoming a premier option, both as a speed threat down the sideline and as a reliable pass-catcher on intermediate routes.
Wilson threw his fourth strike of the match to all-but secure the win for the Seahawks when he picked out Lockett over the top to race into the endzone for a 49-yard score. Newton’s completion percentage and quarterback rating don’t really stack up with what Wilson is doing this season, though, so there could be a lot of debate about how much team success plays into the MVP this season.
Seattle played most of the game without standout rookie running back Thomas Rawls, who broke his left ankle in the first quarter and is lost for the season. Rawls was hit behind the line and dropped for a 3-yard loss on a play with 5:36 remaining.
“It doesn’t get any tougher than that”, Wilson said. “I don’t think he’s going to have to have an operation, from what I understand, but it’s substantial”.
Harris managed only 42 yards on 18 carries, while Jackson carried seven times for 15 yards, and Carroll might have to use them again over the next two weeks, with Lynch unlikely to return before their final game of the season.
Looks like Pete Carroll is going to have to pray to his lucky stars that the now week-to-week Lynch makes a healthy return to action as quickly as possible.
The Seahawks are nearly assured of a wild card berth and they have home games coming up against the Browns (3-10) and Rams (5-8) before a Week 17 matchup at the Cardinals (11-2). He got his first reps against Seattle with a patchwork offense and completed 23 of 40 pass attempts for 274 yards and an interception.
“We’ll see how Marshawn does”, Carrol said.
“The idea is for us to have our best five guys out there”, Ravens coach John Harbaugh said. The first time with the Bears and now on the Ravens. “There are some corrections that need to be made, obviously, on the big plays, but that’s what we’ve got practice and film for”.
Seattle took the lead for good with a touchdown on its opening possession, moving 80 yards on a drive capped by Wilson’s 8-yard touchdown pass to Lockett.
K.J. Wright led the team with eight tackles while Bobby Wagner recovered a fumble.
As good as the offense has been, the defense has just thrown down back-to-back road games with no defensive touchdowns. Baltimore was able to keep the game close in the first half, but was outscored 21-0 in the second half.

In the fourth quarter, Clausen badly overthrew Matthews near the sideline. Rawls’ left leg appeared to get caught under him on a 2nd and goal rush to the right, however.
