And a young man snagged one just by doing a handstand on the sidewalk while singing the Star Wars theme composed by John Williams.

The 59-year-old actress – who shot to fame playing Princess Leia in the sci-fi franchise – joked about how she’s changed with age and thinks in a decade’s time she’ll be lamenting how her appearance has altered in that short a time. Shockingly, one girl doesn’t know who Carrie is!

“When I do lose the weight I don’t like that it makes me feel good about myself”.

During her interview with Ellen, the actress recalled how she is asked by people if she expected Star Wars to be such a big hit.

But not one to forget her humble beginnings, Daisy Ridley has revealed that getting a part in Casualty was a bigger deal to her than being cast as Rey in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Not wanting to be put off from making a sale, the 57-year-old presenter asked: “What do you have in your trunk?” There are loads of shenanigans with Carrie and Ellen, beginning with those buns.

“What I look like now is not my fault”, she said candidly when shown a photo of herself as Leia from the 1978 flick.

“Do you love me also?”

The actress replied: “I’m Princess Leia”. Amazing. One of the smartest, funniest women I’ve ever met’.
