Akram felt that boycotting a serious cricketing occasion just like the T20I World Cup would exclusively have an effect on Pakistani gamers and Pakistan Cricket in the long term.
Notwithstanding India’s delay in giving a go-ahead for the proposed Indo-Pak bilateral series this month, former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram has advised the PCB against thinking about a boycott of the World T20 in India in March-April next year.
Shaharayar said that PCB has put in a lot of effort to break the deadlock and convince the Indian board to go ahead with the series.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman, Shahryar Khan said that The PCB will seek security clearance from the Pakistan government before making a decision on whether to send the Pakistan team to the 2016 T20 World Cup.
“Yes, we have not received a reply from the BCCI, therefore we are closing this chapter now”, Shahryr said.
The PCB chief has also said that it will be hard to make arrangements for the series at a short notice and warned BCCI that PCB would raise the issue with the International Cricket Council (ICC). Pakistan and India final performed a bilateral collection in December 2012-January 2013. India has not played a full bilateral Test series after 2008 Mumbai terror attacks. “The way they are going at each other indirectly is not good for either of them or our cricket”.

The left-arm great, who is the second highest wicket taker in the ODI format, blamed the Indians for taking too long to decide about the series, and also urged their authorities to understand that playing or not playing cricket will not solve the problem of terrorism.
