A Film of Taylor Swift’s 1989 Tour Is Imminent
Swift said “I think that is probably the starting point because I didn’t have a personal relationship with Apple until that point”, referring to the blog post that convinced Apple to pay artists.

But in the moments before Apple responded to her complaints, Swift was anxious the tech titan would go so far as to hack her phone. According to CNN Money, the deal will give Apple exclusive rights to stream concerts from her 1989 World Tour on Apple Music. It seems Apple were able to reconcile with Swift much further to the point that she has chosen to release her concert film on the service.
The concert footage was recorded on November 28th in Sydney, Australia, at the ANZ Stadium.
Why this matters: The reality for subscription streaming music services is that they’re fairly similar, with just a handful of marginal features to distinguish them.
The letter did the job and a few hours later, Apple announced that it would pay the artists during the free trial period as well.
What fans need to know about the Taylor Swift 1989 World Tour Live release date.
Other musicians who popped up on Swift’s top-grossing tour include Lorde, the Weeknd, Alison Krauss, Fetty Wap, Steven Tyler and Miranda Lambert.
Both Swift and the Apple Music official account tweeted the news on Sunday December 13, Swift’s 26th birthday, alongside an interview with Beats 1 DJ Zane Lowe.
The “Same Old Love” hitmaker posted a photo of them together and wrote on Instagram: “I don’t know life without you Taylor”. It’s a commercial deal: “Sources say she’s getting paid for it”, reported Recode, adding in a response from label Big Machine that it “participated in the deal and will see money from it”. The trailer’s description listed Jonas Akerlund as the video’s director. Apple Music has no ad-supported free tier, like those on Spotify and YouTube.

Apple Music is now the only streaming platform where Swifts best- selling album, 1989, is available.
