New “X-Men: Apocalypse” Poster
That enemy is unlike any other the mutants have faced before – it’s Apocalypse, the first-ever mutant, played very menacingly by Oscar Isaac. The reason for the casting change is because X-Men: Apocalypse takes place in the 1980’s, and so it was necessary to re-cast these X-Men with younger players than the actors from the original 2000 X-men film. Now, back to trailer news… Directed by Bryan Singer with a screenplay written by Simon Kinberg, X-Men: Apocalypse will be the ninth installment in the X-Men movie series. Apparently, this mutant plans to destroy the world to make certain that “only the strong will survive”, as this is his goal and the film’s official tagline. In a recent interview with Black Film, he was asked about how it feels to have the trailer for the latter play in front of another movie he’s starring in right now (you know, the one which is likely to be 2015’s biggest). We’ll add further publicity shots as we get them. He was the director for the critically acclaimed and box-office hit “X-Men: Days of the Future Past” where he was able to stitch together the greatest superheroes in the past and present.

Christmas has come early for X-Men fans, with 20th Century Fox finally dropping the first trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse onto its YouTube channel.

Unfortunately for humankind, our modern-day era upsets him and convinces him to recruit a team of mutants which include Magneto (Michael Fassbender) to purge the world of the weak.
