Ringo memorabilia sells for over £6million
The record, a first edition of the British band’s classic, was purchased by an anonymous buyer. The drum kit is featured on recordings including “Can’t Buy Me Love”, “She Loves You”, “All My Loving”, and “I Want to Hold Your Hand”.

The three-day sale ended with almost $10 million sales.
The owner of the Indianapolis Colts NFL team has claimed the Beatles are “together again” after he bought Ringo Starr’s drum set at auction for $2.2m (£1.4m).
Every White album is numbered, and Starr was in possession of the 0000001 copy which was rumoured to originally be John Lennon’s.
One of the most noteworthy items on the block was the first-ever copy of the “White Album,” which sold for a record breaking seven hundred and ninety thousand dollars. That’s what happened last weekend, as Starr sold a number of found items for a charity auction and raised over $9 million for charity.
The album was part of a large auction of memorabilia that once belonged to Starr and his wife, actress Barbara Bach.
Over 800 of Starr’s personal items went under the hammer.

Irsay now owns those drums in addition to prominent guitars from Paul McCartney, George Harrison and John Lennon. Starr’s Patek Philippe wristwatch sold for $179,000; a blue stone pinky ring sold for $106,250; and a black onyx pinky ring went for $100,000. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the couple’s Lotus Children Foundation.
