OnePlus 2 Mini may cram flagship specs into smaller size

OnePlus may be on the verge of finally unveiling its first compact handset in the OnePlus 2 Mini.

If OnePlus is indeed looking to cover more segments of the smartphone market, then the suggestion of a OnePlus Mini (not its official name) that appeared in a GFXBench listing holds some water.

It is revealed that the handset is packing a 4.6-inch Full HD (1920×1080) display, coupled with a Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor and 4GB of RAM as well as 64GB of internal storage. Reviews of the OnePlus 2 have been less than stellar.

Phone Arena’s recent report noted that a new device from the Chinese tech manufacturer has emerged in GeekBench scan history.

That 4.6-inch display should apparently be running a 1920 x 1080 resolution for 479ppi.

It’s also worth mentioning that you won’t receive any invitations immediately after purchasing the OnePlus X, but you will receive them eventually since OnePlus manually rolls them out. It will run on Oxygen OS based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. There is also an 8MP front-facing camera on board.

Many of you may be holding on to your smartphone purchase in the hopes that things will get cheaper in the coming year, well if OnePlus has its way, other brands would have a tough time keeping up with their low prices.

It does look as though that each OnePlus handset goes through a rite of passage – and that would be the ability for ordinary folks to make a purchase without the need for an invite.
