Petrol falls to 99.9p in Chelmsford
Today, according to petrolprices.com, many supermarkets and big name fuel providers are selling petrol for 101.7p per litre, and diesel for 103.9p. And their predictions have now become a reality with Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Asda and Morrisions all now offering fuel for the magic price.

It is the second time this week the retailer has cut the price of petrol to less than £1.
“If the latter, the United Kingdom could see a serious dent in the average petrol price by the end of the weekend”, he added.
Motorists are set to enjoy plunging fuel prices, leaving more to spend during shopping trips this Christmas, after the cost of oil fell close to its lowest level in 11 years yesterday.
The AA said the temporary fall will bring Asda’s petrol price below the £1 mark familiar to drivers on the continent and across the Irish Sea.
The supermarket giant has decided to make the cut a fortnight earlier than expected after the RAC predicted prices would fall below the £1 mark.
Morrisons will hold the price at this new everyday price for as long as possible but it remains subject to changes in oil markets and foreign exchange movements.
Now there is a good news for commuters, as the petrol may get cheaper. On Friday, the worldwide crude oil price of Indian Basket was at Dollars 35.72 per barrel.
We know that our customers really value low fuel prices and that having unleaded for 99.9p a litre will really give customers a boost over the festive period.

Noting the common man is already overburdened by unprecedented increase in prices of food products, imposition of additional service tax and Swachh Bharat cess, he claimed that “instead of giving relief to people of India on account of reduction in worldwide crude prices”, the government earned a tax revenue of Rs.74,000 crore from petroleum products alone in 2014-15.
