Two Xperia Z6 Handsets Coming from Sony in 2016
According to cnBeta, Sony might unveil one of these in May and start selling it in June, while the other one could be announced in September (probably at IFA 2016) and hit the shelves in October.

The trial was only supposed to be in place for a couple of months and was going to end sometime this week, but with this news it’s clear that Sony likely feels they have more work to do with the software, or perhaps they just want people to have more time with the software before they take end things.
Sony is expected to introduce 4 devices in 2016, as a part of its Xperia Z6 series, two of which will be flagships, packing in the Snapdragon 820 chipsets. It seems the Japanese company is planning to debut a Xperia Z6 next year, but the rest is still unknown. While one will be the standard, base variant, it’s not yet clear if the second will be of the Ultra, Mini, Plus, or Compact type.
Independent wrote that Sony has been struggling to get a bigger share of the smartphone industry in the past few years, despite offering a number of great products. Hopefully, the two Z6 models will encourage users to shift to the brand. This might mean that the rumored 4-inch Z6 Mini won’t make it to the series, and only the Xperia Z6, Z6 Plus, Z6 Ultra, and Z5=6 Compact will see the light of the day.
It is easy to assume that the upcoming Sony flagships will feature 4K screen resolution, as the Xperia Z5 Premium already flaunts one. There are also rumors that four of the devices will run on the Snapdragon 820.
The last bit of the rumors is that there will be no Sony phones unveiled during CES 2016, early in the year.

Sony has not yet issued an official statement regarding the Z6 phones. Instead, the company is said to be focusing on just two flagship smartphones for the whole duration of 2016. More updates and details on the handsets are expected soon.
